RCCG Glory Model started from an humble beginning like most of our parishes in 1993 at the then Hogas hotel, and in less than a year moved to Kosofe College before moving to this permanent site where we are today in 1995 under a lease rental agreements

As Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3:8-10 “Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon”. (KJV). Baba Pa Akindayomi laid the foundation of this mission to which our Daddy G, O. has been building till date. The current status of Glory Model is not by default. It has gone through persistent nurturing of well cultured men of God in this mission.

Permit me at this point to humbly recognize some landmarks enroute to what we have here today. Any omission here is not deliberate but to conserve space and time. Of a truth, leadership vacuum has never existed in this Parish since inception. It has like a relay race all through.

While Pastor Oshiyemi was the state Pastor, Pastor (Late) Akintaju as the Area Pastor of Shalom Area, established Glory Model Parish and Pastor Soji Oni became the first Parish Pastor. It was elevated to the status of an Area Headquarters in 1998, while Pastor C.O. Osho was the State Pastor and Pastor Ola Erogun became the 1st Area Pastor.

Glory Model Area headquarters became Zonal headquarters in 2002 under Pastor Tayo Allen, who was both Pastor in charge of Area and Zone, while Pastor E.A. Daramola was the State Pastor. Under late Pastor Lekan Olayioye (Pastor In charge of Zone), Glory Model was proposed as Provincial Headquarters about a year after the completion of this edifice. Finally, the approval of this place as Provincial Headquarters came after his demise in 2014.

It was in the tenure of Pastor Tayo Allen that the land we are today was purchased, although as mentioned earlier the Parish had been operating here under lease. The building we have today had its foundation laid towards the end of Pastor Joel K. Amure’s tenure as Pastor in charge of Area/Zone, under PIC of Province – Pastor Remi Oluboba on the 1st of August 2010 while Pastor Hastrup was the Pastor in charge of Region. The real construction started under Pastor Tunde Olawuwo and Pastor Ademola Adeyemi the then Area and Zonal Pastors respectively from October 2010. The structure’s construction was accomplished under Pastor Lekan Olayioye the then PICZ and Area, while Pastor Isaac Akinsipebwas the PIC Province. On the 28th of July 2013 the building was Commission by our current PIC Region Past. J.O. Obayemi on behalf of Daddy G.O. Pastor E.A. Adeboye.

The transformation of the Parish to Area in 1998, to Zonal headquarters in 2002 and now provincial headquarters from the 1stday of September 2014 is the outcome of the various and cumulative efforts of our honorees of today.

What we have here today as a provincial Headquarters is the contributions in the past of these heroes. It is for the grace of God in their lives we are able to gather here today. Some fasted, some prayed ceaselessly, some clean the chairs, some cut and weed the grasses, some sacrifice family pleasure and comfort, some used manual labour while construction was on, some wept secretly for being misconstrued and abandoned, some borrowed money to see to this work. Over 21 years, those little efforts here and there, gave us what we have here now. As much as we celebrate them today, we must not also forget that except the lord built the house they labored in vain that built it. Thank God today that their labour were not in vain.

I will not take my seat until I recognize the headship of the two provinces LP 13 & 28, that jointly created what we now have as Lagos Province 51 in persons of Pst. Isaac Akinsipe who is now a Reginal Evangelist for Region 4 and Pst. Adeyanju for their work in His service. Beloved, with all protocol observed, I once again welcome you to a dream fulfilled and I pray that this occasion will pave way for forgiveness (if any), healing of various wounds and ill-feelings (if any) of the past that anyone might have nursed. As said by our Lord Jesus, “consider it all joy when you are persecuted for my sake”
